  2. He most likely paid off eBay.

I dont get any of this at all:

To get 70,000 + watchers you msut have that many LEGIT eBay accounts, no “Guest Watchers”.

    which means:

He must have a program that manufactors eBay accounts.

    FACT^

Ok, if eBay sees that many accounts created and they instantly become watchers of his auctions wouldnt they shut it down?

Even if the accounts were created over a long period of time, They would be the same accounts wathing his items over and over again.Wouldn’t eBay stop this?

And even if he doesnt do that, maybe he rotates around 140,00+ dummy eBay accounts.Wouldnt ebay notice that 98% of his watchers have 0 Feedback?Highly unlikely

Take it for what it is.

You do realize eBay is what, a BILLION dollar company. I’m sure they are looking for small time payouts from Kekoa, it’s their bread and butter. πŸ™‚

I’ve seen Kekoa on the pulse for around 2 years now.

I think the bottom line is that whatever method Kekoa is using to get high watch counts, it’s obviously not against any eBay regulations, or he would have been gone long ago.

  11. Any of you buy this one?

    Friday, April 4, 2008
Kekoa64.com bought out by eBay Inc.
HONOLULU, HI (PR Newswire) – EBAY INC. based in San Jose, Calif., has acquired Kekoa64.com and eBay user id Kekoa64. “Kekoa64 – Internet Entrepreneur, eBay PowerSeller” (http://www.kekoa64.com).

Starting May 1st, eBay, and its affiliates, will use the site as a promotional tool. “We are excited at the amazing opportunity to work with Kekoa” says Dennis Breckford, Senior VP of Marketing at eBay, “we look forward to seeing how his ideas can take us to the next level”.

The company plans on a complete redesign of the site and blog. eBay also plans to keep his existing product line, as well as develop new products with him. Kekoa will remain the creative force behind the products and promotions, however, eBay will incorporate their own products in to the marketing mix.

“When eBay first contacted me about the opportunity, I thought it was a hoax, one of those phishing emails” says Kekoa Chung, 24, Kailua, HI. “The funny thing is, I was actually suspended (from eBay) at the time, and I thought it was a bit ironic that they wanted to buy me out. When I learned that it was infact true, I called Dennis and jumped on the idea.”

eBay Inc. plans on acquiring more PowerSellers like Kekoa to promote it’s website to more targeted niches. “This is the first of many more acquisitions to come” says Breckford.

Breckford will not discuss the amount Kekoa64.com was purchased for, but says that he will “not have to work another day in his life”.

  15. Now that I’ve had a cup of coffee…

I thought I’d share something with all of you about eBay… We all know eBay has banned digital products. Supposedly you could list a classified ad for your digital product starting March 31, but it was NOT possible. I tried several times to no avail… Until today, you would get an error message EVEN if you followed the rules:

    Attention Seller!
You can not submit your listing due to the following problems

“Please note that all listings that contain content that can be digitally downloaded or transferred must be listed in the Classified Ad Format only. As of March 31st, all listings for digital items not in the classified ad format will be considered a policy violation.”

Today at long last I had success placing a digital information product in the Classified Advertising section (just for fun)! eBay may have realized their digital snafu as the page views have been down dramatically on eBay:
    http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/ebay.com

So go ahead Kekoa, you’re back up! Let’s see you list some product now (besides your CD for pickup only in Hawaii sold through Mystery Giant). I’m a fan… really! I just want to know what’s the business with your business. How come you don’t have any listings? How did you get out of your NO LONGER REGISTERED status. Give us the scoop on your Web site.

  16. Kekoa64 worked for ebay all the time….get real folks, that’s how the pulse is rigged.
    Ask Mysterygiant he knows also.
If you can’t figure that out you people never will.

  17. NO ONE CARES about the Pulse Page….so I wonder what you all will have to talk about here now?

I bet Kekoa64 will try and rise up again….but really Kekoa64, who cares?……180 Million Ebayers and only 1 Kekoa64?
No one much cares if he makes a buck…..most people believe he caused the crash of the ebay pulse and the digital change of ebook delivery, all because 3 or 4 people had to run up 100,000 plus watchers…….I ask you does anyone believe in your hearts they had 100,000 + hits to thier counters…NO NO NO !! and you know it and so do I.
Lets be truthfull here for once.
This page is nothing but a pro Kekoa64 page.

Still……All the watcher codes work fine as we all know and having a high watcher count means 3 times the money, regarless of if you’re on the pulse page or not……., but now pulse pages seems to be given back to the everyday sellers, except for Josh Kulp…who keeps playng his card there……..well good luck Josh….
It really doesn’t matter much about the ebay pulse anymore, 99.9% of us are too smart to believe what is being sold on the main pulse page this past year.
And it’s not Like I speak because I am Jealous….I am one person who has been on the main front ebay pulse page 7 or 8 times over the past few years, and on the ebay pulse pages 1000’s of times.
But for the life of me, it’s easier to make more money by using watcher codes and just bringing customers in off the internet , than just trying to be on the pulse page.

One more thing…AS we all know Mysterygiant made a huge mistake, running near 100,000 watchers and and having a hit counter that read only 1200 hits…..tisk…tisk…not very wise of him to do that?
Anyways, the ebay PULSE is now dead and dying, I myself will be going back to selling Industrial CNC equipment on ebay.

Oh just so you all know, I have known Kekoa64 secret of the main ebay pulse page for months….I even told Josh about it, so it’s no real secret , they made a mistake and I found it.Simple as that !!
BUt….I have to say I just refused to go on the pulse and use that tactic they used, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth to control the pulse page like that, so many..many…many fellow ebay sellers are never going to get there fair turn on the pulse because of their greed.

I for one am glad the ebay Pulse is Dead horse……so I am kissing off the ebay pulse, just like all the smart ebayers have done…………it’s a new day….I just hope people learn to get along.

  18. I heard a rummor that ebay is now tracking the person with the highest watcher count on ebay.
Geeeeeeeeeee I wonder who that could be?
    Like I don’t know…..anyways….
I got the info from someone working at ebay, I live not far from ebay in Calif and have friends here.
From what I understand, ebay knows that a program is running huge amount fake numbers, and don’t even come close to matching the hits, infact this person said over 120,000 watchers, and sometimes less than 700 to 1500 hits at best. My friend said the cheating will come to an end shortly with a lifetime ban of this person.
Again, this is what he said, I will not give out his name, because I don’t want to get this person in trouble.
Like I said …I am sure glad I didn’t use this program, this person will be kicking himself for the rest of his life, for blowing it big time…..at least I’ll still be selling on ebay…and I won’t be doing time in jail either. Better to be safe than sorry.
I won’t mention this persons name here…..they can figure it out for themselves.
All I know is he said ebay was taking legal matters into hand, I sure hope this happens soon.
WE all could cheat if we wanted to…..but it’s not right.
Maybe I should just sell this info and let everyone have it….well maybe not…..infact I am not going to sell it ever.
the reason why……what these greedy people did was a huge injustice……now the law and justic will hopefully prefail in the comming weeks.
I for one look forward to it.

  19. Anyone want to comment on the ebay pulse page now…told you so !!……..looks like it’s a whole new ball game now.
I give credit to ebay for stepping in and ending the trouble, and the rigged pulse page.

  20. Sure a Ton of Ebay sellers supended……..oh well, I’m lining up my sales force like the old days…….of difference is I really did make 20,000 a month on ebay selling. And I can’t say that about the other ebook sellers………I am not worried at all, the future looks god on ebay. I just Changed my name also.
Waiting on my shippments to come in next month and I’ll start selling again my main product lines this summer.
Also anyone trying to sell in the Classified AD page on ebay……that is a Joke….a HIGE Joke…….I wouldn’t waste another minute there, NO ONE READS Those……it’s a total waste of time and money.
Maybe in the year 3500 ebay will will make advanced, but untill the next 1500 years……give it up, sell like in the old days.
besides………..I still have the code……..I can get on the pulse selling anything, any time I want.
